2017-2018 Annual Membership Notice and Renewal

Over 39 years ago the Section 8 Administrators Association was founded, by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the purpose of providing a forum for the exchange of information on the management of the Section 8 program now called the Housing Choice Voucher program. Toward that end, the Association is committed to conducting training of vital concern to our membership and providing advocacy on behalf of our member agencies. The past several years have seen changes that have been unprecedented.

Don't forget to complete your annual renewal notice if you haven't already done so.

See links below to view the Annual Membership Renewal Letter and download the Member Application Form. We are asking all housing authorities to renew their S8AA memberships no later than October 31, 2017.

(the "Association") provided comments on the Administrative Fee Formula and Study [Docket No. FR-5874-N-01].  The Association seeks to ensure that both the work performed in relation to administration of the HCVP program is accurately reflected and understood and the fee schedule proposed is fair in relation to these duties.  These comments were prepared taking into consideration the input of New England PHAs representing large, midsize and small Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs.

Section 3 Compliance Feedback
With Section 3 compliance being closely monitored by the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, you want to make sure that your PHA policies are up to date and that your staff has clear direction when it comes to Procurement and Section 3. PHAs need current updated policies in order to comply with the Procurement & Section 3 requirements.
The S8AA is looking to see if there is enough interest from our membership to offer a training on these topics.  Please, only email us if you would be interested in attending a training on these timely topics.
